Thank you to Caz for the fifteenth post in our Me and My Connecta series, where happy babywearers help us spread the Connecta love by telling us all about their experiences. Please get in touch if you would like to get involved!
Which Connecta(s) do you have?
I started with a “Happy Hooter” but am now using a Mulberry Solar.
Why did you choose a Connecta to carry your baby?
I love how quick and easy it is to put baby in and out. I love how compact my solar is but also how smart it looks! Not loads of material tying up or straps to flap around.
What is your favourite thing about your Connecta?
How comfortable it is! My son loves it too. We went to a wedding recently and it looked fab even with a blue outfit!
This was at the wedding in Woburn Safari park! He slept the whole way around a coach safari in the sling! And despite it being really late, he was happy to be attached to me for the evening.
I love the variety of designs available – they make babywearing look really lovely and because they’re so nice to look at, I’ve introduced to many of my friends to them!
When do you find your Connecta most useful?
I find it most useful when I go up to the stables every day. I put my son in the sling and I turn my horse out into the field and then muck him out!
This is me on top of the muck heap, tidying it up!
And us going for a walk whilst my friend rides my horse!
And the family at the stables together.
Share a photo of a favourite Connecta moment – tell us the story!
I work at the Hickstead horse shows every summer and this year was no different except I was (and am!) still breastfeeding my son. My husband would bring our son back to me every 2-3hrs and I would breastfeed him and then go back to work.
However, during the Royal International Horse Show, there was a day where my husband had to be at work. So my son was in the sling with me for most of the day and to my delight, I discovered I could breastfeed in it which saved an awkward trip to a hot car (he won’t feed in public as he’s too nosey!) So here is a photo of me breastfeeding whilst co-ordinating live TV and horses!
Come back next Monday for the next instalment in our Me and My Connecta series when we will be hearing from Sophie! Email firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to find out how you can join in.
