With temperatures soaring ( hooray summer!) it is very important to take extra care. Here are some top tips if you are carrying your baby in a Connecta in the heat!
Make sure that both adult and child have appropriate protection from the sun. Use hats, suncream, thin layers and shade to make sure you are all well protected.
Watch out for overheating, if you are too hot, chances are your baby is too. Pay extra attention to babies temperature in the carrier especially if they are sleeping. If it is too hot to carry take a break in the shade.
Make sure you have access to enough water, babies may ask for milk more often in the heat. If you are breastfeeding offer a feed more often. If you are unsure if your baby needs to drink water as well as milk contact your health visitor for advice!
